Frequently asked questions.

What does social media management entail?

Social media management includes (but isn't limited to) content strategy, written posts, branded graphics, photo curation, follower engagement, inbox management, influencer partnerships, ads, seasonal campaigns, product partnerships ... the list could go on endlessly. In short — it's a fusion of creativity, calculated strategy, analytics, and customer service. A fantastic social presence takes a healthy heaping of time and energy, which is why you should work with me instead of trying to do it all yourself. ;)

How does pricing work for social media management?

Pricing varies depending on 3 variables: 1. Desired posting volume 2. Number of platforms 3. Company size Packages are designed per request, meaning each contract is different depending on company needs. Minimal support can hover around several hundred per month, whereas mid to full-scale management ranges between $1,000 to $3,500 per month. Can we work together on a one-time campaign?

Absolutely! I've had the pleasure of creating seasonal campaigns, event-based campaigns, and a handful of other one-time projects.

I'm not really sure what I need. Can we do a social media audit?

Yes. An audit is a great place to start if you're feeling unsure about what exactly your business needs. Audits entail the following: — Overview of current social metrics — Analysis of audience demographics and interests — Content review for consitency and quality — Objectives and recommendations for moving forward

What type of writing can you provide?

I won't lie; I'm a bit of a chameleon when it comes to my craft. While I'm open to any and all ideas, the following types of writing are my bread and butter (or pen and paper, if you will): Article writing, newsletters, blogs, social media copy, website copy, ghostwriting, promotional writing, podcast descriptions, news & current events, interviews, event descriptions, company bios, brand stories, platform-specific content, and email marketing ... to name just a few.

Where can I find your published works?

My bylines have appeared in Business Insider, Fodor's Travel, SUITCASE Magazine, and Seeker. Head over to my portfolio page to read the latest and greatest.

Can you edit existing documents and articles for me?

It is highly likely. Hit me up and we'll figure it out.

How much do you charge per word?

It depends on the type of writing — but I hover around $0.30 per word as a general rule of thumb.

I need a website but have 0 idea where to start. Can you help?

Of course — before I even jump into design concepts, we'll go over the basics such as domains, hosting, features, and more. All consultation is included in the overall package; I'll be with you every step of the way. Typically, I'll ask for 3-4 examples of websites that you admire to start. We'll take it from there to assess the more technical aspects that you need to support your customers.

Who writes the content for the site?

Usually, site content (photos and copywriting) comes from the client — but I can certainly add that onto your package for an additional cost if need be.

Are you a developer? Can you code my website from scratch?

As much as I wish I was a wizard of code, I am not. I design websites on WiX and Squarespace. They're great platforms for solopreneurs and small businesses. If you're looking for a highly customized website, I have a handful of talented developer friends that I'd love to refer you to.

Will you maintain my site for me after building it?

I can do that! Site maintenance isn't included in the cost of build, but I am happy to provide ongoing support for an additional cost. We can discuss your needs for ongoing updates and come up with a method that works for us both.

How did you become a freelancer / digital nomad?

When I was in college, I had so many iterations of what I wanted my career to look like. It started with what everyone else was doing — I applied to various corporate internships, only to feel like a fish out of water during the interview process and end up getting rejected anyway. I shifted towards pursuing advertising agencies after that, but something still wasn't quite right. I wanted the freedom and flexibility to travel so badly; I couldn't fathom being stuck behind a desk with limited time off. During my senior year of college, I built a travel blog where I could practice my writing skills and also began reaching out to people in my network asking if I could help them with basic digital marketing initiatives. I saw some traction and kept going. In May of 2018, I graduated college and booked a one-way ticket to Vietnam with only a couple hundred bucks worth of projects booked for the following month. It took months of uncertainty, super budgeted living, and a whole lof of creativity; but by early 2019 I had scaled my work to full time. Since then, I've continued to grow and expand my offerings — calling both Australia and Indonesia home in the process. It's a constant learning experience and I wouldn't have it any other way.

I want to become a freelancer! Can you help me?

I would love to; I offer 1 on 1 coaching sessions for aspiring freelancers and solopreneurs. I know what it's like to live on a budget when you're getting things started, so I'm happy to work with yours. Learn more about that here.

What advice do you have for aspiring freelancers?

I could truly write a novel, but here are a few ideas to get you started: 1. Assess your skill set — but don't be afraid to try multiple things at once. 2. If you don't have materials for a portfolio, invent your own projects to use as work samples. 3. Reach out to people in your network to see if anyone needs support in x, y, z. You need small projects to start off with. 4. Check out some freelancer platforms like Upwork and Fiverr. 5. Be patient! It's going to take a lot of work, and it'll probably be slow for a while, but the hard work is so worth it.

Can I interview you for an article, podcast, or another form of media?

It would be an honor! Interviews are fun, who would say no to that? Reach out to me at and we'll find a time to connect.

Can I pick your brain about ___ ?

Sure thing! I reserve one-on-one call time for clients, but I'd be happy to answer a few of your questions over email. Drop me a line at and I'll get back to you as soon as I can. :)
